Good afternoon everyone and I know what you are thinking because I'm just that smart. You are thinking, Captain Josh isn't on here on Wednesday's, what could he be up to. Well I have an answer to that question and in fact, in this new segment that I have come up with, I will get to answer some of your questions that drive you crazy and make you want to tear your hair out and kill somebody. Well lets hope the second part doesn't happen, and I guess if want people to call you baldy, go ahead and rip your hair out. Just kidding. Anyways back to the new segment, its called Nascar Explanation Wednesday, and basically what this is about is every Wednesday I will explain a certain rule or something in that nature in Nascar like the qualifying order or the new cars for this year. Then I will ask you to leave me some questions and I will do my best to answer them. NOW IF YOU ASK HOW DRIVERS GO TO THE BATHROOM, I'LL GO AHEAD AND EXPLAIN THAT. BASICALLY WHAT I SEEN ON AN EPISODE OF ELLEN DEGENERES, JIMMIE JOHNSON SAID THAT THE DRIVERS JUST PEE THEIR PANTS. AS DISTURBING AS THAT SOUNDS, ITS TRUE. SO MAKE SURE TO LEAVE YOUR QUESTIONS IN THE COMMENTS SECTION AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE. THANK YOU. So after you read this, send in some questions, I want to be able to help with Nascar fans that may not know too much about it.
Now today I will talk about the new cars competing this year. I know you Nascar fans that may not know much about it may look at the TV and think, those cars look different than last year. Well you are right, they are. They are the new Generation 6 or "Gen 6" Nascar cars. Nascar has had 5 generations of cars before this. I will explain these cars while posting a photo to help out. ALL PHOTOS COME FROM GOOGLE. I DID NOT TAKE THESE PHOTOS.
Here is a photo of the six generations of Nascar cars. Sorry the picture is so blurry. I figured you could look at the cars. I apologize for the words being hard to read. As seen on the bottom row, you could buy a first generation car from the dealership, race it, and use it as a street car after the race, which was the 'stock' in Nascar Stock car racing. Now that kind of went away as Nascar would have the teams bring identically prepared cars to the track that the teams built from the shop. Now Nascar has the 6th generation car as shown on the top row above. Now with this car, Nascar is trying to once again bring the 'stock" back into nascar. Now the cars look like their manufacture that is being run. The new cars feature new versions of the Toyota Camry and Ford Fusion while Chevorlet featured the new Chevy SS, which is a new rear wheel drive sedan produced by Chevy which will be in dealerships later this year.
I hope you enjoyed this new segment and please make sure to submit your questions in the comments section. This has been Nascar Explanation Wednesday, thanks for reading, and stay tuned for Nascar Trivia Friday and also stay tuned for Race Recap from Pocono.
